Acer unveiled a smartly designed notebook which surely is one of a kind gadget, featuring two 14-inch displays. 2 displays each of fourteen inch means a wide display of 28-inches. Unlike others, Acer placed a touchscreen in place of a keyboard which also converts to a multi-touch virtual keyboard when required.

At a press event held in New York, the computer maker raised curtains to unveil the notebook tagged as Acer Iconia. Acer with the product launch enables users to spread their content across two displays. As the notebook delivers a wide screen touch, consumers can enjoy the multimedia features including photos, videos on the large screen while also making use of it as tablet, having a 28-inch display to read your daily newspaper.

Furthermore, the computer maker is developing a software to support touch-based interactions with applications, such as the Acer Ring, a Gesture Editor, a Window Manager, and a Device Control Console.

For the virtual keyboard to be displayed, a user needs to place both palms on the lower display which rolls out a full-size QWERTY layout, with a numeric keypad, a touch pad, and predictive text input.

Acer did not reveal any pricing or release dates for the Acer Iconia.
